I’m reblogging this now since with more followers the word can be spread again and as the people who breed ACTUAL Tamaskans have had their dogs poisoned again. This happened around the same time last year. I wonder who might have been behind it. (For those not totally in the know, RPK slanders and does verbal attacks against registered tamaskan breeders.)

Today, while walking the derps I had something happen that happens somewhat normally. A vehicle I’d seen approaching slowed down and a rather happy looking gentleman stuck his head out of the window, asking what breed the dogs were.
I gave my usual cheery answer of ‘Shiba inu’ and went on agreeing to the usual ‘it looks like a fox/wolf/husky!’
And then he did something no one else does. People always seem to want clarification that one of them is male, and one is female, of course!
I waited for the question that always comes next, the ‘Are you going to breed them?’ question that I dread.
He never asked it.
